8 Upcoming SUVs Launching in India Within 2 Months

8 Upcoming SUVs – The automobile industry in India is now focusing on the SUV segment as major companies such as Tata, Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, and Renault are introducing new models in the next two months. The changes bring to the market both ICE SUVs and electric vehicles (EV) with high kilometers per charge. The car manufacturers are lifting 2026 with powerful engines, modern technology, and segment-first features so the start of 2026 feels like a great deal already. Below is an easy-to-read breakdown of the eight SUVs coming our way soon.

1. Tata Sierra ICE

Tata Sierra is bringing back the classic version and is coming in petrol as well as diesel. The Tata Curvv will be under the Sierra among models. The 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine will be deployed in the mid-size SUV segment. The brand is thinking of styling, safety, and presence as their priorities.

2. Tata Sierra EV

Right after the ICE launch, the Sierra EV is going to be in the limelight. It is going to be in the market by the beginning of next year with two kinds of batteries. The first one is similar to the one in the Harrier EV, which is going to be a long-range experience. The car with its futuristic cabin and EV-centric features is likely to be one of the flagship Tata electric SUVs.

3. Tata Harrier Petrol

The company will bring out a new petrol Harrier in December. It will be powered by the new 1.5-litre GDI turbo-petrol engine which gives out 168 PS along with 280 Nm. More people will be drawn to the Harrier with this petrol option while the vehicle will still have its brawny exterior and luxurious cabin.

4. Tata Safari Petrol

In addition to the Harrier, the Tata Safari will also be getting the same engine Kinda, that is, the 1.5-litre GDI turbo-petrol engine. The new gasoline engine will lure some buyers who are looking for a powerful SUV but at the same time giving them the benefit of lower running costs.

5. New-Gen Renault Duster

With the new-generation Duster, Renault will make a comeback in the SUV segment on January 26, 2026. The model for India will be made on a localized CMF-B platform and will be almost identical to the global version in terms of exterior and interior styling. It will probably come with two gas engine choices at first, and a hybrid or 4×4 variant is likely to come after that.

6. Maruti Suzuki e Vitara

The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara will be the company’s first electric SUV. The car will be offered with either a 49 kWh or a 61 kWh battery pack and will provide a range exceeding 500 km per charge. Gujarat has already begun manufacture for both the export and the domestic market. It is aimed against the Hyundai Creta EV and Tata Sierra EV.

7. Mahindra XEV 9S

Mahindra will introduce the XEV 9S on November 27, 2025. This tree-row SUV is the company’s first completely electric model and is built on the INGLO platform. It will come with a giant glass roof, “boss mode” reclining second-row seats, a triple-screen dashboard, and a “bring your own device” (BYOD) rear entertainment system. Its styling is highly influenced by the XUV.e8 concept.

8. Mahindra XUV 7XO

The facelifted XUV700, probably called XUV 7XO, will be launched by Mahindra in January 2026. The revision will include a redesigned exterior and a brand new interior that will feature a three-screen setup, a new dashboard layout, and an updated center console. No mechanical alterations are anticipated, and the current engine lineup will be retained.
